My toilet will not flush and I have cleaned the jets and if you put water down the bowl it will flush.

Check the amount of water in tank.
Should be about 1'' below over flow pipe. Adjust float to allow more water in tank.

If the water level in the tank is 1/2" under the white overflow tube then it's set correctly.
This leads me to believe that there's
Back pressure that's preventing the bowl from siphoning.
If you're quite sure the jet hole's clear then pull the toilet and snake the drain line.

When you dump a pail of waster in the bowl it will flush because of gravity. The weight of the water will cause it to flush. You need water shooting out of the jet to began the siphon process.
Is there a strong stream coming from the jethen you flush?

Thank you for the feedback and we tried that and still the same problem.
We also took it outside and flushed it out with a water hose and checked to see if the channel is clear. Brought it back in and still the same problem it will not flush, now if I put a bucket of water down it the bowl will flush. Any new suggestions?

If when you flush the toilet and hold the tank lever down allowing more water to flow into bowl, does that help?

Yes I have been reading your other post on toliets and I can not find one of them holes you are talking about that helps syfone, does every toilet suppose to have one.
