Where can I find a chart of ampacities of single conductor insulated wire

Purpose?

If it's chassis wiring that is different than say an amplifier in a car.

Distance plays a factor and the voltage drop that's required by code or otherwise may play a factor.

Are we talking about a National Electric Code issue?
