How old do you have to be to see your birth mother in a closed adoption
Iam 15 years old I found my mother and one of my brothers in my biological family but I want to know why she tells me she will never lie to me and says its not a closed adoption and my mother here tells me it is and when I tell her (its not a closed adoption is it) she pauses and says yes it is with like a lying face. Please help me I'm so confused on who to believe

The only way you are going to know is when you turn 18 and ask to see a copy of the agreement made between both sets of your parents.

In the meantime, your adoptive mother is your LEGAL mother. Did she assist you in your search? Did she want you searching? Have you discussed this in a calm way with her, that you want more information about your adoption?
