Hi! I'm 14 years old and I'm a girl! And my mom hates me!I love her! And she's she loves me to sometimes but she says she hates me like 5 times a day and she's says so many means things like she is going to hurt me and I'm not good enoff for her! And I try so hard but that's not good for her! And all she can say about me is bad words! I help around the house but she still yells and that she is going to send me away because I'm not the kid she wants! I get good grades and I'm really trying to be her friends! But I guess she does not want to be mine!she does not want me she tells me that crying and yelling so loud that anyone can here her! Help me? What should I do??

Your mum saying these things to you is not the normal behaviour of a parent.

Firstly you must always remember this is NOT your fault.

It sounds to me like your mum is not very well. She might be depressed or suffering from the menopause or a lot of things but she does sound like she needs some help.

Is there an adult you trust that you can talk to? Maybe a teacher, a school counsellor, a relative or a church parson or the like? If not maybe there is a phone line that you can ring. In the UK we have childline but I don't know where you live or what is available.

Please find someone who can help you with this, you do not deserve to have to live like this and your mum does need some help.

I agree that some mediation between the two of you might be a good idea.

What about a grandparent, or aunt or uncle? Does she have a friend that you trust?

Is your father in the picture?

There are always two sides to every story, and her side may very well be the opposite of how you see things. Not saying you are not hearing and seeing what you think you are, its just that another person may view things, or reasons, differently.

There is always room for negotiation, and always ways to pinpoint what the problems are so that one person doesn't get the brunt of another's anger.

Why not start with a school counsellor for advice in how to go about addressing the problems with your mother before things really get out of hand.

Sorry to disagree slightly but I think if the ops mum is saying she is going to hurt her things are already out of hand in my opinion.

Your , not the only one ! I'm Also 14. . I live in New York . & I have 2 little sisters . My mother is now ussually telling me that she Hate's me & that she hopes She can put me in foster Care . Your acctually LUCKY your mother says " I LOVE YOU ". . Because I've never heard those words come Out her mouth .

I know what u girls are going through I'm 22 and still haven't figured out what's wrong with my mom. Its always been like since I can remember... I have 2 boys and my mom denies them everything too, there were many times she told me that she wishes we'd all go to hell and that we'd be gone out of her life!! And on top of that she goes to church... what kind of christian says that to her only daughter and grandkids. When people would come to the house and visit she would act all lovey dovey and she charges me 800 bucks a month for rent plus bilss which she doesn't even pay over 200 and she keeps most of my sons SSI check, she says that she is doing it for my own good and I love her but I think that she's always hated me and so because I do care about her I don't want to get her into trouble so I just sit back and do nothing.
