    Custody recognised
If I have custody of my daughter in Romania would it be recognised in Canada where my dauther is actually born. I mention here... I got the custody in Romania. While my ex was fighting for the same thing in Canada.

How old is your daughter? Where is your citizenship? Where is your daughter's citizenship? Where is the father's citizenship?

How did you legally change your daughter's citizenship without her father's consent? And how did you get her out of the country?

Oh... it's a long story.. made short is that I have a permission letter fr him... this way I left... now he seems that he is more interested of his child and I would like to go back there and give him a chance with his dauther... however I'm not sure of his intention so I just want to know if the custody is recognised...

This is really confusing. As far as I'm aware, you need more than just a "permission letter" in order to change a minor's citizenship. I would think he would have needed to sign the actual papers in front of a notary or some other type of official.

I don't know that it's in the child's best interest to be constantly hopping back and forth from country to country. You've indicated that you already are doubting what his intentions are; was anything established in Canada regarding custody?

These two threads should be combined - read them both and, if you're confused now you be even more confused when you finish.

Note that the info requested on the other thread was never provided; instead - presto, new thread!

Beat me to it; I was just typing out the same response in different words.

Did you also catch that nine days earlier, her daughter wasn't a Romanian citizen but now is? Very fishy...

We can give you an answer but if you don't tell us the truth, we can't give you an accurate answer.

Nine days ago, you said your daughter was a Canadian citizen. Today, you're saying she's a Romanian citizen. We can't help you when we don't know which one is the truth.

OK... I'm not here to lie... I'm here because I'm concerned for my daughter's well being... I did not change my daughter's citizenship... why would I do that? She has 2 citizenships... one acquired by birth and one through me, as her mother, having a different citizenship I had the right to apply for my daughter to get a citizenship for my country 2.. I am surprised to hear that not 2 many people know about this...

So your daughter has dual citizenship. That's easy to understand. But even so, you still haven't explained how you obtained Romanian citizenship for her without her father's consent. You stated that he gave you permission to travel with her; that doesn't give you free range to do everything else.

Is there a custody order currently in place? Does it outline physical custody/placement and visitation? You stated that he's currently "fighting" you in Romania on this but that doesn't let us know what the situation currently is.

What was the result that your ex received in canada when he was fighting for child custody ? From your posts it seems the one you received in your now home country aren't valid at this point. You need to stop all the deceptions and start coming clear and dealing with things in a proper manner or you can sit in prison and rot. I think the former sounds more appealing then the latter.
