I cut the fat pad of my middle finger off almost completely on Jan 2nd. I received 12 stitches which have since been removed. I constantly have to have sterti strips put on as the edges seem to not want to heal and close. The skin around the cut is also starting to peel off. Any ideas why this is happening and what the healing time is?

The complete healing time will be approximately 3 months before you have no issues with this at all.

Are your hands staying moist? This would cause this to happen. It needs to be kept dry at all times.
