I have an Ideal Mexico 2 boiler, my central heating is working. I have cold water but when I run any of the hot water taps, the water is running cold, even if left for a few minutes the water is still cold.

If you aren't getting any water at all, you must have a blockage or even a closed valve. Check everything stating where the cold water feeds into the boiler. Starting with the easiest ones first, open some of the pipe joints and try to localize the problem.

Is this a combo boiler. Or more likely you have a hot water heater tank. Check to see if it is gas or electric.
