From my previous question we found out when the power and light turned off the power when they turned it back on they forgot to turn the outside main breaker on after they turned the power back on. But, the heat works great now but the outside fan is not coming on. We just bought this place so we don't know f the outside fan is suppose to come on or not. Its not running the heat strips if that's what you're thinking. Thermostat is a robert shaw. Thanks for your help. System was installed new in 2002.

If this is a heat pump the OD fan should come on if stat is in heat mode. If it is just a AC unit fan will only come on in cool mode. If it's a HP check voltage at the contactor. Make sure it's pulling in when call for heat. If it is and you hear a buzzing sound check the capacitor
