    I am trying to find out whether or not I can 20 mbg broadband speed that sky are advertising I am a sky customer and already have the free phoneline

    The advertised speeds on ADSL are assuming a lot of factors, namely line quality and distance from the exchange.

    Accessing your router will only tell you your sync speed and not your actual connection speed.
    For that you need to use one of the many speed test sites.
    For UK use I find this one very useful as it tests download as well as upload speeds.
