I am on h4 .willing to change my status to F1.I received my I-20 with the reporting date on jan 20th,2010 on it.I have not applied to F1 till now.Can I report the college on H4 and apply for F1 immediately with that (expired) I-20.please help me

You can't apply for F-1 with expired I-20. Contact the school and request for a new one.
