I have a 92 accord ex with 230,000 miles. Great car and live in Washington state, really never use a/c. my air fan dial fell off over 100,000 miles ago. I just insert it when I want to use the windshield air. Without any warning while raining and in traffic I turned the fan on and got no air or sound at all. I called the dealership and they said sight unseen that I needed a new fan motor, $385 plus tax. Do to the age of my car I am approaching the point of putting it down. My question is, what possible solutions might there be?

Check all under hood and under dash fuses with a test light or multimeter:
