Hi, I have 2 shih tzu cross pomeranian puppies who r 11mths old. One of them is being sick and has just had diahrea, which I have never smelt anything so bad. He has been quite and very clingy wanting to sit on my chest while I am on the computer. He keeps growling at nothing or no one. It is my daughters birthday today 14/01 so I have put up birthday banners, I am not sure but I think my puppy might have eaten a little bit of blue take that fell off 1 of the banners. Please can anyone advice I am worried and not even go to sleep tonight in case he needs me. Thanks

Are you near a vets?
I would be getting him in right away.

Diarrhoea can cause dehydration in any animal but even more so in puppies, it can be deadly if left unchecked.

If you can't get to a vets soon I would go and buy some pedialyte. Just hive a syringe full every half hour or so to try and keep him hydrated until you can get him to the vet.

Get him to the vet as soon as you can, the bad smelling is a BIG clue.

If the diarrhea was bloody and smelt really really bad, it might be parvo in that case if your other dog didn't get the shots there both going to get it so go to a vet asap and if they do have parvo that other dog needs to be watched for signs and you better get started on cleaning the house with bleach!
