I bought my mobile home from the park I live in back in 1999.now the park is saying that I'm not on the title and I can't find my copy.how do I go about getting a copy?

I'm confused. If you bought your mobile home from a mobile home park you should have received a title in your name. Is your home financed? If it is financed the finance company quite could be the ones paying your mobile home taxes directly to the county.

The best way to get to the bottom of all of this is to contact the Auditor's Office at your county and ask them. You could stop by in person and they could give you a copy of what they have on file for your home.

If the park is saying you are not on the title - then just WHO is on the title to your home that you bought? YOU should be on the title even if you purchased it through a finance company OR you don't actually own the mobile home.

Was this an outright sale to you with you receiving a Bill of Sale for the home - or was this some sort of Agreement to Purchase similar to a Land Contract type of thing?

Also, if you have the serial number of your home you can go down to the local DMV office and have them look up just who is listed as the owner of your home. And you can ask or a photocopy of their records as well.
