2008 or 2009? If it was 2008 you would have delivered by now and your baby would be 1 year old.

What does your doctor say for the due date?

As far as conception date goes, the fertile period in women is generally 12-16 days after the start of your LMC. HOWEVER---this is not true for every woman. There is absolutely ZERO way to know for sure when you conceived.

WHY do you need to know this?

I am a nurse, a registered nurse, specifically a labor and delivery nurse. However, I am putting on my shoes right now and heading off to another 12 hour shift so I will answer your question as soon as I am able.

Again, you did mean 2009 not 2008 right?

So you're trying to figure out the conception date... why?

Your conception date would have been in October 2008, probably (but not for sure) between the 7th and the 20th. Even if you know your cycle length and when you last menstruated, there is NO WAY to pinpoint conception date unless you are specifically tracking ovulation for YOUR body.

Please remember that the ultrasound date is a GUESS. Based on the development of the baby, and on your monthly cycle, they ESTIMATE that the baby was 7 weeks, 5 days along. Please also remember that they count the start of your pregnancy as the start of your last menstrual cycle--NOT from the date of conception.

While I am not a doctor or nurse, I've been trying to get pregnant for SEVEN FREAKING YEARS. Believe me, I understand ovulation cycles and how conception SHOULD work.

Are you trying to narrow down paternity?

According to my Gestational Wheel here at work, if your LMP was 10/01, you most likely conceived on 10/15.

Now, remember, this is nothing more than an educated guess. There is no way to tell with 100% certainty.

Right that is what they told me. So if that is so That I conceived on 10/15 or around there. Does the 7 weeks and 5 days add up to the time I conceived or does it add up to the last LMP? Is it correct that I would be that far along on 11/20? Thank you so much for your help. I had baby on June 27, 09 and they gave due date of 7/08/09 or 7/09/09.

Okay, let me try to explain

If you had your LMP on 10/1, most likely you conceived on 10/15. That would put you at 2 weeks. You would have been 7 weeks on 11/20 and your due date would have been 7/9. NOW, this is all a guessing game with a 2 week leeway either way.

On June 27 you would have been 38 weeks and 1 day, which means that you would be considered full term. Full term is a pregnancy that goes 38 weeks or beyond.

So, in all actuality, your baby was not born early.

So do the weeks (7weeks and 5 days) add up to my last LMP or does it add up to my conception date? They gave me the 7/8 and 7/9 for due date child was born 6/27.

It doesn't really matter now does it? The child was born full term and hopefully is healthy.

You see, and I'm only trying to explain as simply as possible without using medical terms... okay.

Without having a microscope and/or camera in your ovary or fallopian tube, we do not know EXACTLY when you ovulate. Once ovulation occurs, the egg is only viable for fertilization for approximately 24 hours. It's truly a miracle any of us get pregnant with that short window of time.

So... without that camera or microscope, we also don't know exactly when the sperm meets the egg. It's truly a guessing game with a two week window of opportunity to conceive.

Now, I am left wondering if you are trying to figure out who fathered this child? Am I correct? If so, it is impossible for me to tell exactly when you conceived and a DNA test would be in order.

Thank you very much for answering my questions you made it very clear and I do understand now. No, I just wanted to make sure I didn't get pregnant on my period.
