    Valve connections
Tom, do you prefer a threaded valve connection or a soulder joint? Is it recommended to remove the guts of the valve before welding joint? What is the terminoligy for valve connections? I have decided on a Moentrol valve with built in 3 way diverter so I can have a hand shower and body sprays. They list the valve connections as, {CXC} and I believe {IPS} connections. Which is which and do you have a preferance. Thanks Tom. Dave

    Re: valve connections
Hey Dave,  Of the two I prefer the solder connection, (CXC) to the threaded connection,(IPS).   If you're asking if you have to pull the guts out of the valve before soldering the answer is no.  BTW. CXC= copper to copper while IPS= Iron Pipe Size. Regards Tom
