    Tareq and Michaele Safahi
Allegations are circulating that these people have ties with foreign terror groups.

Do any of you have accurate information about this?

    Mere rumor? Or?

Not really... there is a common connection with the gate crashers/the President /and Rashid Khalidi who is a PLO advocate and has been accused of dealing directly with them .

Khalidi and his wife Mona worked for the Arab American Action Network(AAAN) ;his wife as President.Obama contributed $40,000 to the organization when he ran the Woods Fund.
Obama is lying about his relationship with the Salahis .Obama knew the Salahis when he was still an Illinois Senator. Salahi is a board member of the American Task Force on Palestine(ATFP).This is a Palestinian organization founded by Khalidi .

So while there is no direct smoking gun to terrorist ties ;what there is here is just another part of the web of ties between the President and characters who's organizations support the cause of a terrorist organization.

For their part, the Salahis are prepared to plea the 5th if they are questioned by Congress about the gate crashing.

    Hello gal:

    I don't know...

But, it makes me wonder why Senator DeMint is holding up confirmation for the head of Homeland Security. It seems that NOW is the time when that agency needs LEADERSHIP...

Yet, DeMint is worried that the former FBI agent is going to let the unions organize the TSA. Seems to me Republican DeMint is scared of UNIONS more than he is TERRORISTS.

At THIS time, when our country is under siege, he should be impeached.

Do you really want someone in a union manning the gate who is more interested in preserving his turf than doing his job? That is the union way. If it is not your job, then don't bother with it.

Union employees are not noted for initiative either. They usually do only the minimum required of them, and there are surely times in security when a person would need to think outside the box and go beyond the minimum reqequired.

I expect these things are what DeMint is thinking about.

PS. What does this have to do with the OP?

    Hello again, Gal:

I suppose he IS thinking about that stuff. However, worrying about what the unions MIGHT do, isn't as important as worrying about what the terrorists ARE actually doing. No?

You asked about whether somebody might have terrorist connections. Apparently we, as a country, don't know. I was merely suggesting that if we had LEADERSHIP at the top of our one and only security agency, we MIGHT have a better shot at knowing who IS a terrorist and who ISN'T.

That's what it has to do with the OP.

This of course is not about TSA or DHS .

It is about the WH social sec. and the secret services being lax in their jobs. We do not know the whole story here so I'm not sure ;but I can speculate that a friend of the Obama's did not get an official invite ;but that didn't stop pressure from being exerted on the people responsible to turn a blind eye towards a breach of protocol.

    KISS

Here the acronym: TSA = Thousands Standing Around
Seems more true every day. Now the TB person was on the do not board list, but got on the plane.

So, you seem to be saying that the Obama administration is incompetent.

    I fully agree.:D

I think Salahi set a record for taking the 5th during testimony .
