Am laying time in a maintenance room with a sunken floor drain right in the middle. How can I make the tile fit the contour and still look good? I have seen the wedge-shaped tile cut, but always looks bad.

How much pitch?
Do you have big or small tiles?
Have you done tiling before?
Is it a uniform grade or does it pitch a lot right around the drain?
If it is a maintenance room, I'd go with the mosaic, 13" tiles seem pretty big... it will be much easier to follow the slope with small tiles
Thanks!
I would not break up tiles creating your own "mosaic" Shop around and buy yourself a slab of 1" tiles that are held together with backing, they have some give.
Thanks, that makes sense to me also.
You can take your tiles and cut them diagonally to see how they work. If more pitch is needed then cut the diagonals perpendicular and it will be mosaic like.
Sounds good. Thanks!
Post some pictures of it so we can see !
