    Vent Motor and End Switch
    Motor Details:
    Manufacturer: FASCO Industries 70219565
    Type: U218

Heater went out yesterday. The heater is not igniting and Im getting 2 blinks on the LED which indicates the end switch is open. It seems that the end switch is on the motor itself. Can I remove the switch or do I need to replace the motor assembly completely. Is that an all in one unit?

Thanks. Its getting pretty cold in VA. :)

I believe you will have to replace the assembly. The switch is considered a safety item or proving switch and as such is preset to the proper operating tension at the factory. Now I am not saying that some electronics type supply house will not have a switch you could make work since anything is possible but the manufacture intends for you to replace the entire assembly for safety and to maintain the listing a label from UL or CSA and probably GSA.

    Might be this one?

Goodman Janitrol FASCO Furnace Inducer Motor 70219565 - eBay (item 260375744412 end time Feb-04-10 06:21:59 PST)

Parts need to be ordered by the brand and EXACT model of unit you are working on. Many times the fasco number does not count for an exact replacement dur to other mods doen to the assembly. Good luck.
