Laws for eviction in Kentucky without a lease agreement
My small children who are ages 6 and 3 and my husband who is disabled, have been staying in a basement that was provided by a church. Now the have come in a given us a 10 day notice to vacate which will be up on the 15th. We have no where to go and it is way to cold to have my children on the street. I refuse to give my children to someone else. Is there anything legally that can be done to keep us from being on the street. We knew that this was a temp. house and no lease was signed or anything like that, it was just a place to get us back on our feet. I really need help and we can't afford a lawyer.

Even though you pay no rent and have no lease you are legal tenant and the church must follow the law. Tenant Eviction, Eviction Notice and Eviction Process They may be ignorant of the law so show them the linked document and tell them that they must now give you a brand new 30 day which starts the day they deloiver it to your hand.
