    Do I need to issue a 1099 for advertising services
    Do I need to issue a 1099 to newspapers and radio stations for advertising services? If your answer is yes can you provide me with back-up for your answer. (My boss will want it)

    Negative, if the newspapers and radio stations are corporations.

    Of course, you can still issue the Forms 1099-MISC anyway. The recipients will just discard them.
