    York gas furnace troubleshooting
I have a couple of problems with my York gas furnace. First, it has a # 8 fault code which from what I understand is caused when the flame is lost 5 times. My second issue is that one of my burners is lazy and I think my heat exchanger is cracked. Does anybody have experience with that code and know of a way to confirm the crack?

First thing to check is the condition of your flame sensor. Second is what type of gas lp/natural. Third would be to check your lazy burner tube for spider web

There is a camera made that will go up into your heat exchanger to check for cracks or holes.

I would address the lazy flame first also if the heatexchanger is damaged the flame should move around when the indoor blower starts
