    1800's metal pictures?
I have had 2 metal pictures many years, they are made of metal, tin like and looks like from the 1800's? Any ideas about origin or anything, not the photos themselves but metal photos?
They are not exactly cut the same and are approximately 2 1/4 X 3 1/2 inches tall. Thanks

Just the discription makes it sound like what you're talking about are "tin-types."

It is called a Daguerreotype. It has to be viewed by reflecting a dark area. The image is delicate. Don't open the frame.

It is thin metal with print on the metal. Looks late 1800's, early 1900's?

Ok, then it is a tintype. Look here: Tintype - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
