Will black negate red hair dye?
I've been dying my hair a bright red and decided to go back to brown. I started with a medium ash and then a darker brown color, but the red still shows through. If I use black, will the red finally disappear? I want black hair, but I don't want to bother is going to shine through still.

It will probably have a slight reddish in the sun I colored my hair black after bright red as well and it showed through, it looked good but it still showed through... the best thing you can do is color it black and when the red gets noticeable color it black again, or consult a cosmetologist about other options.

I'm not 100% sure about this but maybe try "blue black" hair color. It's the darkest black maybe it will cover the red? I'm not sure, but this black is also hardest to get rid of. And it has a tint of blue I must warn you!

I did this to my hair. My hair was auburn and I wanted it darker, so I went with darkest brown and it came out perfect, keep in mind it will fade, so I would get some color safe shampoo and conditioner, and be sure you deep condition once a week so it don't get dry and damaged.
