Can I just use Liquid Nails to secure the bottom plate to a concrete floor ? I am building a 8' long and 8' high wall partition which will be nailed and/or screwed to side wall studs and top plate to overhead joists. So, is adhesive for bottom plate OK ? Thanks.

Not acceptable, use tapcons or get a Remington nail gunand do it right

Or get a 4# sledge hammer and 2 1/2" cut nails.
