    Fraud really important
Hi, as you seen about 2-3 weeks ago on front page of the newspaper in windsor ontario I kind of made front page... any ways I'm getting charged with a lot of stuff I'm wondering if I would get time.. I have no previous record ( Conspiracy to Commit an Indictable Offence, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime and Unauthorized Use of Credit Card Data.) and fraud under 5k , and another 14 charges they found credit cards on my computer and (MSR) write the credit cards with (which wasn't mine)

They got me and my friends on tape with the fraud under 5000 in walmart so I know I can't do anything about that 1 but I might get the 14 charges dropped and the consiparcy thing..

I'm asking if this is anything close to being really serious , and would I even get any jail time? Or just probation and fines.? Plus I got patrick doucharme as a lawyer right now

    Please reply

I do not know if you will get time, but you should get time. Why should you be able to skate away from this? You were willing to play, now you should be man enough to pay.

Given the current climate where identify theft is being consider one of the top criminal activities, I would be surprised if the prosecutors did not ask for jail time.

    Hello bogste:

Nope! I didn't hear about it.

Is it serious? Any time you take some of your future years, and put them in the hands of someone else, it's pretty serious. What if the guy who's going to decide your future is a real jerk? What if he just had an argument with his wife? Will you get jail time? I don't know. What does Patrick think?

Those aren't questions we can answer here. What you're asking for is an opinion. You got one from the shyperson above.

Here, we help people devise legal strategies. You offered nothing with which to base a strategy on.

PS> A note to the shyperson above. This board is where we offer legal advice. It's really not a good place to judge people because (surprise, surprise), most everybody who asks questions here has been charged with a crime.

Perhaps your opinions might be more welcome on the "political causes" board. Course, if you're just looking to be mean, you can always find somebody here to beat up.
