I am trying to figure a old television show out. It is driving a bunch of us insane. Lol It was set in a castle I think. A witch would make a lady(kept captive) read her a story everyday, telling her if it was good enough she would be set free, but she never was. :( lol.. Thanks you for your time to read this

The show you're looking for is called "Once Upon a Time" -- It was on PBS for a while, I was born in '85 so I was too young to remember watching it but the description says that a Witch named 'Kerfumbly' captured a Librarian named 'Marian' and held her captive in a castle and made her read stories to her. Crazy stuff, I actually accidentally clicked your post from Google because I was looking for some other site, read your question and was watching random YouTube vids when I stumbled on it, haha.
