Child support after the age of 18 in Massachusetts
I am the grandmother and have had permanent guardinship of my grandaughter who just turned 18 years old and she is still a senior in high school and plans to go to college. We live in Mass. And I want to know if I will be able to receive child support from her mother and father while she is still a student.

In many states that will only apply up until 18 AND graduated High School. Most child support ends there unless by agreement. Not many states Indiana and New York take it till 21 provided there is further education.

MA does allow for support to continue to age 23 if going to college. The keyword there is CONTINUE. Have you ever applied for support? Is there a support order in place?

If there is no order in place you can try filing for one, but I don't think it will fly. I would consult a Family Law specialist in your area.
