I am 23 year old, sexually active female who has been on birth control for 2 years now. Over the past 3 weeks, I have noticed brown discharge when I go to the washroom. I have also noticed it on my boyfriends condom after we have sex. This has never happened before and I am starting to become alarmed. It has consistently been occurring now since my last period, and I am about to begin my next period within the next week, which will mean that this has been happening for a month now. Any ideas as to why this has happened?

Have you missed any pills? When was your last check up? It may be time to switch pills, or there is also a possibiliy of infection or STD.
