    Puppy crying at night
I was wondering if anyone could help me... my 5 month old puppy had quite quickly got over the crying stage when she left her mum but all of a sudden the last few nights she has been crying in the middle of the night and I'm puzzled as to why it has started up again I went to see if she was OK and she was especially fussy I then pput her back to bed and it started again, we left it 5mins then my partner went to her, she then settled down 10mins after. Can anyone explain this?

She might have needed to go potty the first time or was frightened/startled by something and because you came out to her, she has learnt that by crying in the middle of the night she gets attention.

Try taking her for a walk before bed, even if it is just a few laps of your backyard to make sure she has pottied before going in her crate for the night.

    Do you cover her crate?
I always cover my dogs crates with a blanket or a sheet to block out any light and make it more 'cosy'
A crate should be like a den and the dog should feel safe and secure inside it.
