    Foreclosure eviction in virginia
My property has been foreclosed on and I have a court date soon for eviction. Any chance the judge will give me additional time to live in home?

You should be allowed the 90 days allowed under federal law of the eviction

I am not so sure this is correct information. I know of a Virginia property where the unlawful detained was filed on 12/28/2009... court date was 2/4/2010... eviction is taking place on 3/1/2010.

Did they defend eviction based on required notice.

Courts will not do anything but rule on evidence presented to them

Actually, with this property, no one has occupied the residence in over a year... the process is to evict the personal property. When there is an "occupant", they offer cash for keys. IF it is a tenant, they have to honor the lease... if it is not, they take it to court, then the sheriff shows up within 45 days after the court date. They normally give a 12 day notice, then a 5 day notice, then they show up and lock the doors.
