    Tax information..
    Hi

    I am having L1 Visa and I am in USA.. My salary is around less than 50k per annum.
    Please let me know how much Tax will be deducted from my salary.. and how much money I can expect per month?
    And also If I will be there only for 6 months in USA.. how much tax will be refunded bacK to me..

    You are liable for the following taxes:

    - Social Security @ 6.2% of every dollar under $90,000 earned.

    - Medicare @1.45% of every dollar earned.

    - Federal income taxes: Your total tax liability will be $6,757, based on being single. You may have other deductions that will reduce this liability.

    - State income taxes: Unknown; do not know which state!

    How much is withheld depends on how many exemptions you claim on Form W-4 and state equivalent form. Do NOT over-withhold; any refund is a tax-free loan to the U.S. government.
