Hi, All!

I've recently seen on the Weather Underground, the listing of temperatures as having the main number and then a period followed by another number.

If it's 1.9 °F, does that mean that it's almost 2.0 °F? Also, are the decimals measured in tenths? I don't know...

I'm not really a math person...

I don't know what this is about and would appreaciate an answer.

It's kind of like our normal temperature is 98.6 F. Not quite 99, but more than 98.

Okay, I'd just never seen that sort of thing on one of the weather sites.

I've never seen anything like that either on the weather, but yes, temperatures are in tenths. I always thought that temps in the weather were whole numbers. Guess I was wrong.

Interesting Clough. I've never seen that before. I'm left wondering if the windchill combined with the dewpoint and the humidity have anything to do with that particular temp.

Nope, I just look at National and Local Weather Forecast, Hurricane, Radar and Report for my location. I'll have to check it out.

Interesting... my weather underground puts me at 23.7F and the windchill is 24. How can the windchill be WARMER than the actual temperature in the winter? I thought that was called the heat index!

If you go to the updated forecasts on the Weather Underground that are on the lower right side of the page, they'll usually be more current than what's on the daily listings for the five day forecasts.

Yuck, so tomorrow it's going to be 31 here and I have to work outside at the Liberty Bowl football game. I better dress warm!

Hey, I've performed at the Liberty Bowl! That was with a high school group in the mid-1990's!

Cool!! It's really taken a beating over the past few years though, but is a nice stadium nonetheless!

I have to do a fundraiser for my daughter's cheerleading team. Oh, how I despise that because all of the patrons don't understand why the cheerleaders aren't doing it themselves, but it's against the policy of the Liberty Bowl for children under 16.

Is it zero wind speed? They may have rounded windchill, and, with no wind, 23.7 becomes 24 when rounded, of course.
