I just noticed the moons in my fingernails (particularly the thumbs) seem to be larger and misshaped.both middle and index finger moons are almost pointed. As well, I have lateral dents in all nails except for the baby fingers and ring fingers. I have always had healthy nails, with large moons,. they seem odd for some reason.. I had surgery 3 months ago... could this be related?

Health issues, traumatic experiences to your body will always reflect outwardly in something like your nail moons. If you feel okay, don't worry about. They will return to normal once your body does. A lot can be told about your health through your nails and how they are growing. I had a heart specialist once pay close attention to my nails and how they looked, even before asking questions about my health.
