Four connections came out 2 video 2 audio and need help to reconnect them to the proper receptacles connecting to an hdtv

Chances are you have a component video connection and composite audio connection. I base this on the fact that you said two video connections came out.

It should be a matter of matching colors. The video output on the box (probably green, blue, and red) to the video input on the TV, then the audio output from the box (probably red and white connectors) to the associated audio in on the TV.
