    Marriage abandoment in Mississippi
My husband left home in July of 2009 he comes in and out when he gets ready he won't give me a divorce and I don't have the money for one what are the laws in Mississippi for this type of situation.

What type of law are you seeking? If you want him to support you or if you want a divorce you have to get either a Court Order and/or file for divorce.

If it's the marital home (which it appears to be) you cannot just lock him out (if that is what you are considering).

I would check on free or reduced legal services in your area. Call your County Bar (Legal) Association and ask what is available.

You can move to your own place and not let him in.

You can go to legal aid and file for divorce.

Abandoment? He is coming and going plus it is not criminal, merely a reason to get a divorce

Mississippi Divorce Source: Grounds for Divorce: Mississippi

That site gives you a synopsis of the laws. Let me point out that a husband (or wife) does not "give" a divorce. A divorce is granted by a court. If one party refuses to participate in the divorce hearing, a default can be granted.

As noted on that site, MS supports no fault divorce.

Your post leaves a lot unanswered. For us to help, some of those blanks need to be filled in.

    Why did he leave?
Is he paying the rent/mortgage on your home?
    Are there children involved?
Do you have a job? Is he providing any support for the household?
