    Brand of unit?
    Exact model number of unit?

    Gas,electric.oil furnace?

Are you talking about the vents that blow the air out?

    What does it smell like?

If the unit is blowing then the blower motor is not causing the smell.

I cannot locate your model number or furnace parts diagram so not much I can add other than you will have to keep looking for the item causing the smell and remove/replace it. It is possible the motor might be doing this but if the motor is operational then usually they do not produce a smell. Sorry that is all I have.
