WOW
It sadness me really
Wow, learned something new today!
Me too...
Jesus! How can u not celebrate birthday's... it's a part of growing and LIFE!
It was historicly considered wrong to put importance on ones own life.
In Hewbrew ( now Jewish) and early Christian, no one celebrated birthdays. So even early Christians would not celebrate birthdays.
There is also other customs. Within Christianity it was considered wrong to wear wedding rings ( a early pagan symbol) it was hundreds of years into the christian faith that they started allowing wedding rings,
The same is with birthdays, for 100' of years it was not allowed to celebrate birthdays ( that is why we know little of when Jesus was born, it was not celebrated for 100's of years)
I understand.
But we move on as life moves on. But some religions are stuck in a time shell.
