    Water well pressure problems
My water well has low pressure. I have tried replacing the pressure switch with a 60-80 and turned the screws down as far as they go. My pump will kick on at about 50 and kick off at about 70. Even when the pressure reads 70, the pressure inside the house is low. I have a water treatment system which I have been told will effect pressure. Also, if I run a lot of water at one time, the pressure will zero out and my water will stop flowing till I stop running water and let the pressure build up again. I have been told that I have a sand well and I am depleting the water at the bottom of the well and have to wait till it fills up again. Any suggestions on how to improve the pressure and or continuous water flow?

What type of water pipes do you have? Copper, plastic or galvanized?
How old is your house? Have you bypassed the water treatment system and then checked the house pressure? Let me know, Tom

I think SB hit the nail on the head. Bypass the water softener and see what happens.
