I live in fl and 14 yrs ago I was served papers for a paternity test an child support. I ignored it and the courts granted the order. Now 14 ys has passed and I want a paternity test. If the test comes back that I'm not the father will I still owe the back child support and will I still be obligated for support for the next 3 yrs because the child is getting ready to turn 15. I'm sorry to say that I have never gave payment towards this child.

Short answer:yes, you will be obligated to pay all back child support and rate of interest for all missed paiments notwithstanding whether the test result is positive or negative.

By refusing the test you acknowledged paternity ad were declared the legal father. Then a support order was entered. That order remains in force. I'm not even sure a court will entertain your taking a test after all this time. So whether it comes back positive or not will be immaterial.

You screwed up big time and you will be paying for it.
