Out with the old in with the New?
Hi, I'm a new member. Have been reading all the questions/answers in the relationship section and thought how amazing all the support is!

I could have done with this site a while ago

I have a question or some thoughts to share,

I love the suggestions you all give surrounding NC and it definitely worked for me. I have been single for nearly a year now with no dating, sex etc and kept away from my ex completely from the moment I ended the relationship and ignored any contact he tried

Lately I've missed being in a relationship and have thought about dating again but I'm really scared of getting hurt and not taking care of myself when I get into a relationship
    Maybe I'm not ready?
I ended my last relationship, I never stopped feeling in love with him but we were always hurting each other and I needed to walk away.
    Time is an amazing healer
Trusting in life that what happens is always meant to be
Moving forward rather than looking back

I guess that's the problem... I'm looking back at the moment thinking could he be the one??
    Which is actually pretty insane.
    Anyway any thoughts anyone??

I'm 34 and have a great life and would love to share it with someone
Its just so scary for me.. can anyone relate??

    Many thanks

Time to make new friends, and find new activities. I am big on an active social life, and a broad range of friends.

Date them all, as friends, and have fun getting to know them. I am all about options, and opportunities, and variety.

Good, clean, adult fun, and who has time to look back?

I can't say that I can necessarily relate, but I CAN tell you how to get back in the game.
I think you should go out and make friends.
Maybe join a club or participate in social events.
There are many different kinds of people out there, and there are a bajillion that would treat you right.
I wish you the best. :)
    You'll have a chance!
