Her dad has threaded to beat her mom. She is being held at home and the rest of her family is scared to leave.

What action would be appropriate to approach the matter at hand?

Go to the police. The police do not have to tell anyone who tipped them off. Do not let this man get away with criminal behavior.

How is mom being "held" at home, chained up, tied up, or just afraid to walk out the door and leave.
