    Two unmarried, one qualifies the other doesn't... get full credit?
    I purchased a home with my girlfriend Sept. 18, 2009. I qualify, she doesn't. Do I receive the full $8000 homebuyers credit? We are not married.

    In whose name is the house, yours, hers or BOTH.

    If HERS, you get NOTHING!

    If YOURS, you get $8,000.

    If BOTH, then you get a $4,000 Credit.
