I'm over with my braces treatment and just got fixed retaines (both upper and down)... the dentist had performed frenectomy when my braces were on... (after 7 months from the first day of my braces teatment.. ). How long do I need to keep wearing retainers? Some dentists suggest for lifetime... is it true? Do I have to wear retainers forever now?

I'm afraid it is for life if you want your teeth to look like they do now. Have them removed and the teeth will move back to where they started.
