    Get over an ex girlfriend
    Hello,
I just got done breaking up with my grilfriend of a year and 8 months. This girl was the first girl that I ever turly gave my hart too and know it seems like she ripped it out and I don't know what to do at this point. Know the first two weeks were very hard for me but I have pulled myself together for the most part and I'm ready to move on. But I still feel attached to her and feel some guilt when I approche other women. Dose any one have any advice on what could help me?

Two weeks isn't long enough to recover from a breakup- you need to be completely over an ex before you start dating again and even so don't rush things.
I suggest you go no contact with the ex and keep as busy as you can doing things you enjoy-sports,movies etc .
Read the stickies at the top of the relationship page for more advice.
    Good luck.

Since you indicate that you broke up with her, I assume she was doing something you didn't like. Whenever you miss her or are thinking sadly about her, vividly remember the times she treated you like crap, and ask yourself: “IS THAT WHAT I REALLY WANT?” When the answer is NO – keep that in your mind. It'll help you replace the pain with the truth of the situation.

Focus onto something positive for YOU, or others that you love. You have the power to consciously change your thoughts. Do that every time the blues start to creep in to your consciousness.

Remember - It definitely takes time to heal (2 weeks is not long enough). Try to stay positive and trust that everything WILL work out for the best in the long run.
