Ok, starting from the beginning... the day before I started my period I had sex with my fiancée, and it was great. I was shocked when my period started because it was 5 days early, which it has always been on a set schedule. I'm 18 years old and have been having sex for over a year now... but once I got off my period, we tried to have sex, but it hurt a lot. It only hurts on the outside, and I did shave, but I have never had it hurt unless I accidentally cut myself, and even still it has never affected sex. I asked him to look and see what it was, all he saw was a pimple like bump on one side, and a square shaped bump on the other side. The square one hurts the most, and I don't know what it is. We are trying to start a family but it hurts too much to have sex and its starting to aggravate me. Any pointers on how to get rid of it or what to do?:(

P.S. It doesn't hurt when I urinate either, only when the urine touches the sore...

I would have a DR look at it just in case, but that area is prone to ingrown or infected hairs. It won't hurt you to apply a very warm (not too hot) cloth to it like you would a bad pimple. I am not a medical professional, and it sounds like you have had it for a while, so you should probably get your GYN to have a look soon.

I've had it for a few days actually... so it hasn't been that long.

OK- well that could be a hair folical thing. I get them occasionally, and if it is in the right spot it can interfere- try the compress (warm cloth). If you don't have any worries about an STD, then the bump probably isn't a serious threat to your health. If it keeps getting bigger and you are really in pain, see the Dr, though.

Thanks, I'll try that. Yeah I am a little worried, but my fiancée isn't, he said we would know if it was an STD, because he would have it to. Or symptoms of some sort... if you know what I mean...

You need to get this checked out. It could be follicular in nature, but many STDs are asymptomatic (no symptoms) for the woman, and may take up to 3 months for a man to show symptoms.

Most likely it is follicular, but no reason to mess with your health. Some STDs can cause brain damage if left untreated (Syphillis does not have symptoms in women and, if left untreated can cause braind damage about 20 years later, and/or leave you sterile). You should see your doctor to ease your mind.
