I am replacing the undersink vent and trap for kitchen sink. The reason is existing line broke at tee in the wall. Is it approperiate to make that connection all glued joints, previous was a male connector into a thread tee.

Suggestions welcome:

This occurred a while ago and was undetected and I have water damage to drywall and some wood. Suggestions for drying and treating wood that will remain.

You should be all set using cemented joints in this case... pretty much all we do nowadays! If possible to connect into the old piping using a threaded joint with the PVC or ABS pipe/fittings be sure to use some pipe dope on the threaded fitting. If you can't connect into the old pipe/fittings with a threaded adapter you can also use a SHIELDED CLAMP... see image.

In terms of drying and mold, etc. it really depends on just how wetted the wood is. If it's a real bad leak then you may want to remove any wetted drywall and then remove as much molded wood as possible. If the wood is not moldy or rotted then you can just dry up as much as possible and then spray a 10-20% bleach solution all over the wood and let that dry overnight... should be all set!
