Help! We only have hot water coming out of the shower/tub in master bath! It's a price pfister faucet, single lever. We took the faucet apart to check for corrosion, debris, etc. Nothing worth noting. Turned the water back on with faucet valve removed and hot water was great! So my question is, do we replace just the balance cartridge assembly or both the valve stem assembly and balance cartidge?

Side note - husband is saying both, Wife saying just balance cartidge. Valve stem controls water pressure and balance cartridge controls water mix. Is this correct?
