No federal taxes taken out my paycheck
I am employed full time and have made 12,600 this year. I have only had 155 dollars taken out in federal taxes. And recently none have been taken out. Someone said not to worry you can get your dependent claims money and not have to pay. I don't have any children I can't claim anything else. Does this mean I will owe the government? If so then why didn't they just take it out.

Well the question is why did you not make sure that some was being held out. YOU decide how much is held out by the number of dependents and the status you claim.

The real goal should be of course not what many people do, but to have it where you don't owe but also don't over pay in so you really don't get a lot back, ( merely keep your money each week)

    Are you married ?

But if you want more held out, talk to your HR about what you need to do, to change your filing status

I have always filed the same and they have always taken out a lot more. Last year they took out over a 1,000. I was wondering if the law has changed someone said obama has changed it.

The law did change. You may owe something, but it will be LESS than $500.

The Bush Administration gave out rebate checks as part of Economic Stimulus Packages, forst in 2002 and then again in 2008.

The Obama Administration had less money withheld from your paychecks; that is the law change to which I referred.
