I'm trying to make a set of testers for finding wires using a set of phone receivers and need to know how to wire the receivers up using a 9 volt battery for power . I used a set a few years ago but forgot how to wire them up.

Are you testing phones, or wanting 2 phones to talk to each other with a 9 volta battery?

I agree wit start. Confusing post. I made a telephone tester using a LM317 as a 30-50 mA current source.

Are you talking about a toner/tracer?
