Paid rent in mobile home park recievd a 3 day notice to pay or quit, was tiold check was ten cents short, I never received check or was informed it was sent back
This is easy, you have notice to PAY or quit, so just pay,
Since the check was "sent back" they did not cash it, so you will have the money in the bank, merely write them a new check or go to bank, get the money and pay them a money order.
I did but because I was then one day late after there three day notuice they sent back my cashiers check. I never received to check back that they say was short
So you go to the bank where the cashiers check was written ( OK very strange you are using cashier check not money order or regular check.)
So you get them to cancell and reissue another check, and pay them.
So if you go to court, you give them the receipt from the cashiers check as proof of payment, or to delay eviction.
It generally doesn't work that way. If you are given a pay or quit notice and you miss the deadline, they landlord goes to court for an eviction order. Generally, if you pay before the hearing, the notice is rescinded. You need to read your rental agreement and check with local laws to see whether they can refuse your payment.
